The Good Folk is a four-part folk-horror serial set on a seventeenth-century farm at the edge of an old wood. When six-year-old Bess is found barefoot in a warm ring in the frost, her parents reach for incompatible defences — her father's Scripture and soldier's logic, her mother's older, quieter knowledge of iron, rowan, salt and milk at the threshold.
It is a domestic siege story: a single house, one long night, and something patient and kind pressing at the doors. The horror is not in what breaks in, but in the terror of the almost returned.
